Members of metalcore band As I Lay Dying are sending a message to their fans in the wake of frontman Tim Lambesis' arrest for allegedly plotting to have his wife killed.

Lambesis' bandmates explain in Wednesday's post on AsILayDying.com that there are "many unanswered questions" and they have no more information than the fans.  But they promise to keep everyone as informed as possible and hope that the situation will "become clearer in the coming days and weeks."

But for now, they say their thoughts are with Lambesis, his family, and everyone else affected by this, quote, "terrible situation."  The band has yet to address their planned U.S. tour, which is scheduled to start later this month.

Lambesis was arrested Tuesday in Oceanside, California, after allegedly soliciting an undercover detective posing as someone who would murder the rocker's estranged wife.  Lambesis is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.

Many of the band's fans are asking people to hold judgement on Tim Lambesis. Followers of the metalcore band have taken to Facebook and other forms of social media to express their shock and sadness over the accusations, with some writing that they hope some kind of mistake has been made.

Fans have also left hundreds of comments on an Instagram photo of Lambesis that was taken before his arrest during the band's trip to China.
