Gwar's annual Gwar-B-Q will go on as scheduled this summer.

The costumed metal band's frontman Dave Brockie was found dead this past Sunday, but manager Jim Flanagan says in a statement the show must go on, just as Dave and his onstage alter-ego Oderus Urungus would have wanted.

The Gwar-B-Q is scheduled to take place in the band's hometown of Richmond, Virginia on August 16th, and Flanagan says they'll be holding a public memorial for Brockie the day before at the same site.

Flanagan adds that Brockie's funeral and a private memorial for family and friends have also been arranged.  The group is still awaiting a toxicology report to confirm the cause of the 50-year-old singer's death, although Richmond's WTVR-TV cites law enforcement sources who say it's being investigated as drug-related.
