    The Rolling Stones formed in 1962 with members: Jagger, Jones, Richards, Stewart, Taylor, and Chapman. Their first single was a cover of Chuck Berry's, Come On, released in 1963.

    At a Variety Club luncheon at the Savoy Hotel in London, the band won the award for "Group of the Year" in September of 1964.

    in 1986, the Rolling Stones were on the verge of breaking up due to Richards and Jagger being on bad terms. Jagger released solo records and Richards released his first solo album.

    In 1989, the Rolling Stones were inducted into the American Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which rekindled the relationship between Jagger and Richards. The band then began work on their next album, Steel Wheels.
